The First Hogo Bag

I like to challenge myself. I find bags a great way to do the challenge. I  had this bag when I was  doing my undergrad  I was not the best student back then but anyway I had this bag that I carried everywhere that bad had been through a lot. I got separated from the bag and found it years later all smelly and dried up. I took the bag apart and with a few minor tweaks I drafted a template.

I measured it a tad bit longer and wider 21x22 with the seam allowance within the  measurements.

The inside template in two pieces for the facing and the lining the facing was 9x22. The zipper was 10 inches

I mitered the size to give depth to the bag.

You definitely want to glue down the side, rubber glue is the best.

The Intro

Hi I'm Sheril, Mimi to my family. I am about to start a journey that I hope you willing to take with me. The reason for this is to share and hopefully inspire others who find there voice in designing. Designers create for themselves the successful ones find a segment that happen to share their aesthetic. Designers have a commonality we love to create.

I happen to design clothing and accessories, they go hand in hand I see and I create it. This will serve as a look into my world. There will be times when you might say, "What was she thinking" and other times "The girl got is right." I am creating this to learn and to inspire others.

This blog is a two way street I want to hear from you. How else will I learn and become successful - lol. I love what I do in this medium.
